Dr. Franco is a native Chicagoan who received a B.S. and a Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago. He also received an M.B.A. and an M.P.H. from Benedictine University.

Dr. Franco is part owner of LITMUS, a global contract research organization (boutique CRO) where he consults on clinical trails development to commercialization. His clinical trials therapeutic areas of expertise include: ADHD, ALS, COPD, HCV, and scleroderma.

Dr. Franco is also an Assistant Professor at the Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor at the Florida International University, College of Business Administration R. Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business and the Chapman Graduate School of Business.

At FIU, Dr. Franco has a research agenda focusing on moral development, ethical decision-making, and minority leadership formation. Currently, he is the primary investigator of a first-in-kind national study titled, “Latina Physician: Leadership Identity Formation Exploration”, LP-LIFE for short.

Dr. Franco is an active board member of Care Resource and the March of Dimes. He’s also a committee member of the Academy of Management and the Health Council of South Florida.
