ELIGIBILITY PROCESS

All participants must be fluent in English. Participants do not need to have an educational background in bioethics, but they should be able to demonstrate an interest in the issues described in the program. The following are encouraged to apply:

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS – 200 €

Accompanying person fee includes: coffee breaks and light lunches, field trips, opening ceremony dinner and closing ceremony dinner.

Registration fee for Summer School program includes: attendance to the Summer School program, educational materials, coffee breaks and light lunches, field trips, opening ceremony dinner and closing ceremony dinner.  Registration fee for module or modules selected includes attendance to module’s program, educational materials, field trips (if scheduled during module), coffee breaks and light lunches.


 

APPLICATION PROCESS – FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS ONLY

Applications must include:

  • A resumé
  • A brief statement of interest outlining why you are interested in attending the summer school
  • A letter of recommendation from a professor, teacher, or advisor
  • Optional: a published paper or article

Participants who are applying for a partial scholarship must also include a 300-500 word statement describing how they will benefit from it.  Scholarship winners will be notified seven days after applying.

Once scholarship applicants are accepted, they must pay the reduced registration fee (it will be defined individually for each scholarship winner) in order to attend the program.  If an applicant cannot attend the program due to unforeseen circumstances, registration fees will be refunded except for 200€, which is required for seat and venue registration.

VISA: Due to visa issues, non-Croatian citizens must apply for a visa (if requested according to Croatian visa requirements available at http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/ ) as soon as they are accepted. Applicants who are accepted will receive letters necessary for their visa applications. Participants are strongly advised to contact the Croatian Embassies in their countries in order to complete visa requirements. OTHER FEES

In addition to the registration fees listed above, some other expenses may include: organized group dinners and optional excursions. We recommend that students have at least 200€ for these additional expenses.
