The Role of Global Bioethics in Medical Pedagogy
The Role of Global Bioethics in Medical Pedagogy
How does global medical ethics figure in the curriculum for medical students? Is it a subset of general medical ethics? How does it differ from cultural competency? Should candidates for an MD degree be required to engage in some study of global bioethics? This course will explore these questions and discuss whether and how incorporating the field of global bioethics into medical pedagogy can enhance the practice of medicine generally, better serving the practitioner and investigator, the patient, and the international community.
